Jag heter Stefan Green och ansvarar för denna blogg. Den här bloggen spegla mitt intresse för teologisk exegetik, det vill säga texttolkning av Bibeln. Teologisk exegetik omfattar väldigt mycket, så du kommer också att se inlägg om arkeologi och historia som relaterar direkt eller indirekt till Bibeln. Sedan dyker det upp lite humor då och då.

I have decided to have a long break in posting on my blog (including in large measure reading other blogs) to be able to concentrate on writing my dissertation. This break will probably extend until I am finished with the dissertation. But note, I am not closing down this blog, but it will spring to life again sometime in the future.

Jesus and the disciples never finished the passover meal that night. Jesus associated the third cup with the promise of salvation and applied it to His own redemptive death. The fourth cup was never lifted in the upper room but will be served at the great messianic wedding feast when Christ have come back for His bride, the Church.

In the book Temple and Worship in Biblical Israel, John Day discusses in an article "Whatever Happened to the Ark of the Covenant?". Day analyzes the proofs for 12 different views/theories, and only finds one of those theories to be realistic. The Ark of the Covenant" was destroyed with the temple 586 BC.

With this post I continue to describe Jewish passover meal. Now the time has come for the afikoma, and the way it illustrates the death of Christ and His resurrection is mind boggling.

The seder in this part of the article is the one followed by Jews today. The gospel's report from the last supper in the upper room does not include all the steps in the seder, but enough to proclaim the message of redemption with God through Jesus Christ.

The seating. How you are sitting at the passover table is not unimportant. Jesus and the disciples was reclining at the table (Matt 26:20; Mark 14:18; Luk 22:14; Joh 13:12, 23).
