8 killed, nearly 300 injured as Iranian ballistic missiles strike central Israel, Haifa
Eight people were killed by Iranian ballistic missiles that slammed into Israeli cities in at least five locations early Monday, and nearly 300 others were injured, as the conflict entered a fourth day.
Four people were killed in Petah Tivka, three in Haifa, and another person in Bnei Brak.
The Health Ministry said 287 people were hospitalized nationwide as a result of the barrage of Iranian missiles.

A deadly overnight missile barrage from Iran struck central Israel in the early hours of Monday morning, killing five and wounding dozens more. Among the hardest-hit cities were Petah Tikva and Bnei Brak, where residents woke to the sounds of explosions, crumbling walls, and the reality of war coming to their doorsteps.
In Petah Tikva, a ballistic missile directly hit a high-rise apartment building, killing four and damaging surrounding structures.

To date, the Iranian missile salvos have focused on the Gush Dan/Tel Aviv/central Israel area, the Haifa area, and the Beersheba area.
From a salvo of around 40 ballistic missiles at 4:00 a.m., raising the total number of ballistic missiles to around 350, there were hits in Tel Aviv, Petach Tikva, and Bnei Brak, leading to deaths.
